What we collect
- Host (KJ) accounts — email address, display name, a password (stored only as a secure hash), your show code(s), and your subscription status.
- Singer (patron) accounts — email address, the singer name you choose, a password (stored only as a secure hash), your favorite songs, and the last show code you visited. You can browse and request songs at most shows without an account.
- Song requests — the singer name and song you submit to a show's queue.
- Host-uploaded content — the song lists hosts publish to their online songbook, and library information their desktop software sends to support catalog and matching features.
- Diagnostics — if a host chooses to send a diagnostic log from the desktop app, that log reaches our support mailbox.
How we use it
- To run the service: signing you in, showing the right songbook, delivering song requests to the right host, and showing the live rotation.
- To bill host subscriptions and send transactional email (account verification, sign-in and billing notices). We do not send marketing email.
- To improve song matching and catalog coverage using host library data. This data is used internally and is never published or sold.
What is visible to others
- A show's songbook, request queue and live rotation are visible to anyone who has that show's code — that is the product working as intended. The rotation shows singer names only.
- The host of a show sees the singer names and songs requested at their show, and their app may remember what a returning singer has sung so it can serve them better.
Payments
Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe and are never seen or stored by us — we keep only your subscription status and a Stripe customer reference. Stripe's own privacy policy is at stripe.com/privacy.
Who we share data with
- Service providers only: Stripe (payments), Microsoft Azure (hosting, file storage, and transactional email), and MongoDB Atlas (databases). Data is transmitted to these providers over encrypted connections and stored in United States regions.
- We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information, ever.
- We may disclose information if required by law.
Security
- All traffic to and from the service is encrypted with HTTPS/TLS.
- Passwords are stored only as secure one-way hashes (ASP.NET Core Identity).
- Card data is handled entirely by Stripe, a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified processor.
- Access to production systems is limited to the operator.
Cookies and local storage
- We use cookies only to keep you signed in. There are no advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
- The songbook caches a show's song list in your browser's local storage so searches are fast and repeat visits don't re-download it.
Retention and deletion
- Host registrations that never complete checkout are deleted automatically after 7 days.
- To delete your account and its data, email sales@karaokelistpro.com from the account's email address and we will remove it.
Children
The service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with an updated date.
